Really, a second honeymoon. The inn we are staying in in Ibusuki have just given us a pair of ceremonial chopsticks made from the wood grown in Yakushima, a special island south of here - when they heard we were recently married. We were both saying how much you would love to visit Japan and see these sights - and all these gardens. Thanks for leaving the comment! I think Ryoanji was featured in Monty Don's programme about Japanese gardens. It looks beautiful. We shall be planting a cherry tree in the Sheffield Japanese garden in August but it will be a long time before it looks like the Ryoanji Zen garden. Your food blog is so interesting, so many ingredients I have never heard of. It will inspire you both to new ideas.
